CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Uncertain tribe. Circa 50-25 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 14 mm, 1.04 g, 8 h), 'à la tête de Pallas' type. Celticized head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet. Rev. Celticized horse to right, horseman devolved into volute; below, pelleted ornament. DT 2366. LT 5985 var. (differing ornament). Rare. Nicely toned and very sharp. Good extremely fine.
